Looking back at who we were,
Fearing my change.
Thinking is too hard to bear
Knowing I am the one to blame
I’ve always been told,
My soul can’t be sold.
Escaping this world before we are told,
Change brings fear
And to fear is to insight War.
We fear who we are
And cause internal war.
We change how we appear
In hopes of diminishing our fears
Rarely fears leave but commonly
With change we bring difference.
Differences then cause fear
Which in turn cause war.
But somehow we hear
The world still singing, still turning
As everything we believe
Falls in full circle
Repeatedly crumbling, igniting the burning.
The burn doesn’t hurt us physically.
It is invisible to our eyes
But it is felt, never touched
Its stings cause cries,
It cuts with it lies.
But it makes us suffer as we fight.
The War daily fought
Is not with guns or bombs.
It is a fight for our lives,
One to destroy the lies we’ve been taught.
The fight or flight theory
Is not a choice to keep.
Fight or flight is not a choice
For internal battles that make us weep.
Fear and hate can be changed.
Wars can stop, we can clear the stained.
But just as through time and history
The world changes, ideas adapt.
But the world still turns, life repeats like a song.
The chorus plays again and again.
Likewise, our lives, like songs repeat.
Our best times playback
As do our worst.
Our lives cannot be freed from going round and round
Like a carousel, our fates travel full circle
Until we are forced to surrender.
To the change, the hate, the fear, the war.
But we fall in full circle to end it all
With the blades, the pills, the ropes,
With whatever we can use to stop the pain
To stop the fate from our pain that cannot be stopped
Until we end it ourselves.
We surrender to the pressure and the pain
As we watch our bodies drop standing above them unseen by all,
Watching history repeat itself, as every piece
Falls full circle
