The Philosopher Clown

The philosopher clown,
Has hit the big town
And it\'s all going down
In this city of lights.

As deep as great lakes,
The attempt he makes,
He grasps at the stakes,
But is lost to them all.

His graceless motion,
Causes great commotion,
Like the chaotic ocean,
He is so misunderstood.

His brilliance is lost,
And his dignity tossed
At such a great cost,
Some things never change.
