Justice Judgements 1

Fits tune: Winchester New

(\'Ride on, ride on in majesty\')

Based on parts of Psalm 9

**********

I will praise you with my whole heart

O Lord, employ my every part

To worship you, and your works great

They marvellous in their estate

I will be glad, rejoice in you

Sing praise to your name, most High, too

When my enemies turned back are

They shall fall, perish, from you far

For you my right, cause, have maintained

Sat on your throne judged right, not feigned

Heathen you have rebuked, destroyed

The wicked, made their name devoid

Destructions to enemy came

Their cities gone, perpetual shame

Memorial of them perished

You will to them as you have wished

But you Lord ever shall endure

Prepared your throne for evermore

For righteous judgement, uprightly

You will dispense here perfectly

For the oppressed a refuge He

The Lord will be, they shall Him see

In times of trouble and distress

He will come, help them, and them bless

And they that your name will it know

Shall put trust in you, their lives show

That you Lord, them have not forsook

But unto them in mercy look

Sing praises to the Lord, He dwells

In Zion, and each tongue it tells

Of His doings, humble He hears

Who call on Him with godly fears

Arise, O Lord, and let not man

Prevail, lift each oppressive ban

In your sight judged the heathen be

So they confess you worthily

Inspire in them the fear of you

That nations know, whate\'er they do

Themselves to know they are men poor

And you Lord Almighty e\'ermore
