Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
Though I am a fishy yellow, a burbling fellow
And my beard is burnt to North and South,
My voice is strong, I have the wind in my bellow
To seduce the Sea to a song!
Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
My wisdom is bespoke, that of old folk
And your quills are redly and unseasonally wise
Take my hand well, dry where revelations soak
And live a life of that unworthy Hell!
Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
Curl beyond intimacy, and beyond dissonances of the Sea
Believe me, I am the mouth of credulous heritage and tradition
Faulting from a master’s slang, that arbitary fee
Stripped me to dirt and left me to hang!
Litte Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
I am sagacity’s coat, a damp plied note
That sailed safety in an unmasked boat
Monotone Oceans dote, I jibed to the ages pote
To places where to sink is to float!
Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
Opalescence beamed infamy, a withered alchemy
Chosen to be dull, there trudged my heedless hull
In waters beamed to theory, confessions outspoke infinity
And I lived out my lies in privacy!
Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
My dromond’s wrinkled, the rowers are but myself
And I once foresailed a tale, to a girl no younger than yourself
But she sank to a sail, and was left in bad health,
Her chest was unravaged to all!
Little Missy, Little Missy you have but lived!
Bleach the coloured ensign, chip away your pine
Dump your hours in the Sea and leave with pride
Swim to where the land is green, and all child’s shine
I have never been to what I have seen!
O’ Little Missy, Little Missy how I wish I lived!
