A Kind Warming

The last snowflake falls upon open floor,

Finishing the treacherous path,

Soon this hard cold will for us indeed thaw,

A much kinder clearer bath,

The Robin begins its joyous song,

As the shivers are expelled,

Orchestral bloom joins the throng,

When the rivers start to swell,

The leaves return upon saplings,

That were once so very bare,

Blossom also offers sweet grappling,

To add to the beautiful fayre,

The fruits commence their work,

Upon the vine and ground,

To toast to much gentler quirk,

No longer cold but nicely gowned,

The lambs jump with zealous heart,

Filling the good serene land,

With other young beasts of fauna art,

A wondrous earthy band,

The ice has indeed retreated,

So, Spring has now arrived,

To let spirits be kindly heated,

Wonderfully warm inside.
