\"On Contemplation of the Sky\"

I was planted by the Sea,

Aegean tears a-drowning me,

Until a Grecian Hero swift

Did Set his storied sights on me.

For hubris none my own I sat

Atop the land before the Sea—

My being bared in sacrifice—

To satiate the god below

For Hubris of his own.

I was planted by the Sea,

Aegean tears were drowning me,

When swift a Grecian Hero came

And then I’s spared my fate.

For mother’s fare, she saw herself

As mother fair of all things She,

And for this Transgress ‘gainst the god

My body bared in Sacrifice—

To suffer in her stead.

I was planted by the Sea

Aegean tears soon drowning me

When Mother, Father, both and None

Did leave me to my Fate;

Across the bay, I caught a glance

Of what my soul it shakes to See:

The monster sent by Vengeful wrath

To make my Sacrifice complete—

The Cetus sent by Death.

I was Planted by the Sea

Aegean tears did flow from me

When angel’s wings did carry one

To come and rescue me.

The Demons dead and battles won,

I sprang from off the Land by Sea;

And straightaway to Hero ran

To then embrace my rescuer

My Grecian Hero swift.
