Lady of the Lake

I wandered quiet in my dream,
beside a stately hedge
all at once i faltered
near the water\'s edge.

An eerie mist was falling
as day began to break,
and there she stood before me
The lady of the lake.

Floating in a bed of flowers,
her beauty quite sureal,
she held me in a ghostly spell
fear, I did not feel.

A movement of her hand created,
pictures of her life.
first was of the day when
she became a prince\'s wife.

I saw a royal princess
in a silken wedding gown,
Then stood in silent protest
as they took away her crown.

An image of her dearest sons
loved beyond all measure,
She hoped they would remember,
the happy times together.

So many deeds for charity
that must be left undone
She said that she was happy,
her work would carry on.

She smiled a little shyly,
then kissed me on the lips,
the morning sun was rising
as she vanished in the mist.

A rose fell from my fingers,
as I began to wake.
That gentle kiss still lingers from,
