Lord help us in our sufferings
To see you in all things
As you will, \'whys\', \'whats\', plans [are] revealed
Our hearts be stilled
Help us to follow, take up cross
Daily, will be no loss
Only to self and selfish ways
We give you praise
Grant us wisdom to understand
And see your guiding hand
Your cross it be, to work in me
Redemptively
Not burdens made of our own sort
Nor in our vain traps caught
But cross which puts to death our self
And gains your wealth
If we will follow, \'tis our choice
May we so choose, rejoice
In serving you, to put you first
You quench our thirst
The living bread you do supply
Your water of life nigh
Thus you give food, drink, spiritual
Sustaining all
So daily walk constructively
Changed to your image, see
We shall be fashioned by your grace
Then [at last] view your face
