Princess Barbie

Oh pick me,

Pick me,

We heard the maidens cry across the sea,
For we have no royalty percée, in America today,
So we watched with intent as your carriage drove away,

With a prince,

With a prince,

On your wedding day,

White steeds galloped you to a castle far away,
The castle remains but the princess could not stay,

We hopelessly fell lost in your smile,
with your innocence of a child,
Your joie de vivre set us free,
But it held you captive and we could not see,
That It all came at a terrible cost to you,
Sometimes that’s what love can do,
Sometimes that’s what love can do,

They buried you by a lake,
At the Althorp Estate,
And they still come to mourn,
For the people have been left torn,
For you took a part,
Of their heart,
