Ignorance In (US) History

They\'ve taken the bloody canvas and decided

To paint a pretty picture over the graves

Page after page each one has been blotted

From our revolution to past times of the slaves

Masterfully they weave their web of lies

Each stroke filled with hope the truth will die

Silencing rebellion and all our voices

Unknowingly throwing wood into a growing blaze

I don\'t know about you or what you\'re gonna do

As for me, I refuse to be simply lied to

Feel your blood pumping, don\'t let it go on!

Soon the truth will be all but gone

And if that\'s not worth fighting for than what is?

Grab your greatest weapon and set ink to paper

Let the truth get a chance to rear its ugly head

Watch the weed blossom, as emotions stir

Remember that on this path many have bled

Bring light into the darkness

Bring your flames to the rain

Bring hope inside this bleakness

Spread joy despite this pain
