Lover\'s Pain

Shall I rewrite the past, for pain is left?

Thou art weeping and with tears streaming.

Roaring droplets do pound on our roof tops,

And blackest of nights hath our worst nightmares.

Sometimes too painful the heartbreak of love,

And often is the pain too great for pure souls;

And every light from light sometimes declines,

By chance, or by darkness’ choice, we are harmed,

But thy eternal heartbreak shall soon fade away,

Thy gain possession of new light thou owest,

Thy pain shall never again remain in thou,

When thy eternal light have time that thou growest.

So long thy heart’s free and light shines through night,

So long love survives, and will soon prolong.
