Society
The world is just a concert
Performing to the crowd
Making your family feel proud
All the pressure for nothing
But the need to be something:
A lawyer
A doctor
A dentist
A profession, but here is my confession
It’s all so commercial
Let the adverts role it’s controversial
The idea of a perfect life without strife
It doesn’t exist
You fade way into the abyss
But we have this obsession with possession
We can’t let go
Because society will take hold
We fade away no longer relevant
Just a man, women getting paid to hold their temperament
We can’t speak our minds thoughts feelings
Without someone judging us
Making it a subject to discuss
The fact that I have an opinion
An open mind not conforming to your religion
I’m sorry however I shouldn’t have to make an apology
This feels like robbery
You’re stealing away my right to free speech
I don’t want to overreach
But when I speak my mind
I shouldn’t be confined
Into this category of extemporary
Because all of this confusion
Has created an illusion
That we are perfect human beings
Not capable of perceiving that we are deceiving
Each other ourselves, so please, delve
Into the deep sea of society
But the entirety, is anxiety
