Caged like an animal
Wanting to be free
But my wings are clipped
Slowly bleeding
Quietly hurting
Silently crying
I flap my wings
But to no avail
Clawing at the bars
Of the cage
My nails chip and break
I cry out for help
But no one hears
I’m lost from my family
Shunned and Rejected
Scared and alone
