Think Before You Kink

One task in the yard,

That really blows,

I’m constantly undoing,

The garden hose.

I keep it neat,

In a circle there.

By the hydrant,

That faucet, there.

But, someone always,

Comes along,

To wash their car,

On the lawn.

Rinse the soap,

From the hood.

Doors and the sides,

Lookin’  good.

Wipe the drops,

Before they dry.

Or, many spots,

On the paint, I spy.

I have no problem.

Glad they care.

Washing their car,

In the fresh air.

But, when they’re done,

Not neat with the hose.

Instead, left in kinks,

Don’t care to know.
