For as long as anyone could remember
The Sitting Man was always there
Once a raging inferno, now an ember
Witness to all wars and every fare
Evil feared him and sought his death
Justice would try to draw him into action
To them, he warned of their final breath
And saw the outcomes of the factions
Regardless of the victor, nothing would ever change
So he sat and viewed every event as strange
When death finally came at his door, memories arose
Broken free from his illusion, by numerous regrets and woes
He struggled to kindle the flame, but it was too late
Life snatched like many others before, but he relented to his fate
