Modern to memory, everlasting to ephemerality
existing temporarily
like the blossoms in May
We all have a little something
to hide or to deny
all the unrefined things,
all our flaws we must uphold
And how often, do they fail us?
Those queer quirks of ours
that they define us, in infamy?
Known solely for an oddity.
But you know, these things won\'t stay
those moments are fated to fade
the future ahead, so bright like sunshine!
Summer Nation, green and alive!
And I\'d rather, be a denizen
of that nation we will see;
then believe pubescent flowers
are all that will ever be.
So enlighten me with manumission
extricate me of humiliation
relieve me of a pessimism
that thinks my worth is none.
