Balloon

Never pop a balloon.

If you open it up, if you decide to embrace;

It WILL become deflated. Inevitable.

A pin prick through the thin layer of rubber

of which we all rely on; every party and every

celebratory death.

Outside you may decide to let it go,

let it fly upwards and upwards never knowing were it is going to go...

but sooner or later it will come down and land out of sight,

destined to be inhaled calmly by a dying whale. Then like

idiots we pray to the God for hope to rid the sorrow of which has

enveloped our every move as the balloon flies upwards and upwards,

out of sight and never to be seen again.
