I Believed You

A pair of closed eyes awaken

Behind the hazy veil of a dream:

A thin and inconstant film,

Not impermeable to a scream.

In this warped and empty world,

Where dark meaning hangs above,

Vein insecurity resembles passion.

Grief twists into love.

Where voids are filled with hollow fallacy

You emerged from love, not lust.

Among the empty, tainted air,

Within you, I found trust.

Yet love is equally dark;

Asleep - I continue to cry.

Awake - I yearn to believe in you,

I wish I could say

Goodbye.
