The path of our life lies ahead,
The way is straight and the end is in sight.
It is a long way away at our beginning
But walking our lives in a straight line
Gets us nearer to that end,
Just taking the right road.
Sometimes though we look in another direction
And see another path.
A path with bends and hills and valleys,
Where it’s end cannot be seen.
What if we took that path?
What would it bring to our life?
Where the unknown was before us?
That is the choice in our lives,
The straight and narrow and boring,
Or the bent and wide and adventurous.
