Monotony

Oliver asked “I want some more”,

From Bumble serving gruel,

A brew so tasteless and a bore,

Creating something cruel,

Denied some people are today,

Curbing their enthusiasms,

Socially told they have to stay,

To develop painful spasms,

There needs to be variety,

In this short, fast-paced life,

So, play is just as vital as piety,

To dilute continuous strife,

No more should Oliver sigh,

As he’ll get a better bounty,

He has the right to set standards high,

To rid this horrid monotony.
