IF burying my first son, gives me the strength to comfort another Mother.
IF my pain lets her know she\'s not alone.
IF my being raped and still seeing Beauty in myself,
helps another victim feel they did nothing wrong.
IF my being beaten , stabbed ,and still surviving,
gives another the strength to leave and Survive.
IF my attempt to commit suicide and leave this World,
helps another see the beauty in being alive.
IF my past promiscuous days, and shameful ways,
helps me let another young lady know her worth.
IF losing to death a Love, who fought to win my damaged
heart. Helps another let go of hurt.
IF visiting my baby boy behind a prison glass,
makes another Parent fight, to love there Son even more.
THEN I\'ll hold my head HIGH..Look LIFE in the eye...
And say
\"I UNDERSTAND NOW what it all was for\".
