When you work in a restaurant,
They will tell you Many things;
How to hold a knife,
How to deal with allergies,
They will teach you how to season beef,
They will tell you about their life.
But the most Crucial things – they don’t tell you,
They don’t tell you about the men in striped Pyjamas
Or about the Polish chef who sings
But of all the things they don’t tell you,
One hurts the most,
Because I wish they had warned me,
Warned me about the man with big green eyes,
Who did tell me he loved me
But they didn’t tell me he lied.
