The Perception Of Love.

I hear the dripping of my candle wax that burns in my heart
then feeling the devotion it took in trying to remember you
when I\'m sat at my table writing another poem about love
Images caught the flashing moment when everything flew by
Fires cracking and blowing up the connection we once had
Like the 5 faces of the past presidents looking down on us
The perception of love lives in a world we all love but despise
Mysteries in love which turned bitter in shadows haunting you
Feeling sunken, shrivelled up and wrenching on on the past
Forgiving in for mistaking us into a concept of Universal ego
Where sincerity holds no boundaries fitted in only for the exquisite
When I tell you another story about driving up old lovers lane
We fainted in despair of not ever knowing where we began
Paris leant over and bowed down with a bunch of lovely lily pads
The sun is shining down on some smooches and kisses in town
And you were always laughing with that rosy cheeky smile
You\'re so beautiful my love will catch you up even after a day
Ribbons tied with hearts are floating on the clouds of swooning
Drowning in the feeling that it\'s one heck of a thing to follow
So we watched each other side by side for decade after decade
Still in love with we are and our children are all grown up thank God
That this love of loving life and the love of your life is still alive
Pulling everything together and it turns out that love is okay.
