Divided, that’s what we are
Two faces one path we stray afar
Crossroads, that’s where we seem to pause
Considering what will make the greater cause.
Two ways to choose;
One that tugs the heart and soul,
The other made of hate and coal.
We are bound to take the one that burns the quickest
The one full of light,
For we only choose to use our sight, and leave the rest to night.
When we can’t see an end, marked upon the map,
We turn our backs against the tide, and journey to the gap.
The mirror it has shown, of lies and of deceit;
The reflection now is known;
For the light that we saw,
Was swallowed by nights black maw.
Now we lay adrift, upon a bed of lies;
For the mirror now only shows what we lost inside.
