Drifting out to a lunar tide, falling off this world of mine
swept away to ocean space, connected by a moon cable
that anchors me to homely Earth when I\'d prefer a fable
Something to make me waver, or cower where I am
to envoke emotion like no other fiction can,
what could ignite conviction to engender a discovery
or writing so rapturous as to persuade philosophy!
By an author like an astronaut, with sentences like telescopes
enlightening me to an abyss existing right above us
hanging there forevermore, temptation to the wanderlust
Connected solely by a moon cable, I\'m falling off the world
the very edge is of no threat to a madman who would jump
to an unknown place, like pages unfurled in a book you\'ve never read
vanish in the novel night to somewhere else instead.
