Playing ‘happy families’
All afternoon
Talking of our cats
With choir club starting soon
Teddy bear hugs
Riding our bicycles in the sun
Enjoying our green ice pops
With triangular sandwiches for lunch
Sleepovers each weekend
Staying up late
Horror movies too old for us to face
With our crystallised young dreams taking place
Ribbons in our hair
Practicing cartwheels
Mid way in the air
With lavender being added to mud pies
No one ever wanted to try
A compass keeping us from being apart
Trips to the shop when it’s nearly dark
Bags of sweets and magic stars
With only one bottle of coke
Which we both love
Let’s play fair
We can always share
