Known As Night

Known As Night

8:18 somewhere between the dark and the light
Approaches the hour known as night
With stealth beyond anthropomorphic sight
To judge what is wrong or right

So I share a verse for better naught the worse
In the hope that it can alleviate the curse
Of words I write for sure as dark is devoid of light
Then there is unseen beauty in the hour known as night

Be he who judge thee is not another
But in darkness maybe a winged brother
Of sorts
Who hoots a question and holds court
“Who are you?”
“Who are you?”
“Who, Who are you?

O
ut of sight but not out of mind
Is hope we fail to find
When one has given up and another let go
Intrepidus is the light that refuses to show

Woe is the shadow that grows
The pain of love unknown
But it is the owl who judges wrong and right
The sentence: layers of toil that result in death
And a moment to gasp for life within a last breath

Help help for stars that fall
Inside they missed Gods call
To be, to live, and ultimately to give
Of themselves for someone else
This is the sacrifice that is right
And all that is asked of you by the night

Least we accept one hue that is dark
Then be it understood the mystery before the sound of the lark
Which calls beckoning the break of day
So the life of the humans may resume its way
