Hold to the truth as in God\'s word
It you have known, it you have heard
Not heed fables, superstitions
God\'s words be the wholesome true ones
Godly edifying in faith
These words do follow, and them saith (say)
Outcome of obeying commands
Of God, will be good understands (understanding)
The outcome shall be charity
Love from a pure heart shall it be
And [love] from a good conscience, from you
And [love] from faith unfeigned, ever true
Some from these things have turned aside
Now darkened paths do them betide
Vain jangling, that they choose to hear
Minds not settled on godly fear
They do desire teachers to be
Of the law, but they do not see
Nor understand of what they say
Their teachings not in the good way
The truth it is in things as such
Grace, faith, love, avails to us much
All in Christ Jesus, He the one
Who the redemption work has done
Faithful saying, worthy of all
Acceptance, on Christ we may call:
