1. The LORD hear you in trouble
Attend your call
The name of God you defend
Unto the end
He God of Jacob, he be
Of Israel, see
Send you help from sanctuary
Strengthened you be
2. From Zion where He resides
There none besides
Him, the God who strengthens you
Shall you renew
He remembers the offerings
Each one Him brings
And too sacrifices made
On altar laid
3. The Lord grant you the desires
No evil mars
Desires of your heart, godly
Unto Him be
And all your counsels fulfil
Guard from all ill
So we shall in Him rejoice
Make Him our choice
4. Rejoice in His salvation
To each nation
And set up our banners here
Of our Lord dear
Your petitions shall he hear
Made in lowly fear
Each prayer answer in His will
He faithful still
5. The Lord saves His anointed
And has them led
He will help with His right hand
To save our land
Some in chariots do trust
Or in horses must
Put their confidence, but we
Trust in God, see
6. We His name shall remember
To Him refer
Enemies brought down, fallen
But it is then
That we are risen, and stand
Upright by His hand (Spirit)
