Such Moments

Whence that moment cometh

The world abruptly halts in tis\' place

For in this moment of truth

The heart lets down tis\' failsafe

Sets tis\' fear upon the pedestal

So all may see this obstacle

For all opinions hold consequence

Wilst thy heart produce thine musical?

One lacks such dramatic eloquence

To be entwined henceforth

Shalt that two together be eternal

For nothing less proves loves worth

O\'er such notions of commitment

Anything less shalt breed resentment

In tis\' awakening may we develop

To become more than forevermore

After each interval that we hold for

May be worth the time we used up

To be spent on such moments

That all that once was disappears
