B IOLOGY LABS full of strange and weird
O RGANISMS some dead ~ and some half dead
R ATS ~ Students & Staff ~ Fish & Skeletons !
A ND PHYSICS LABS ~ are packed full with GIZMOS
T O MEASURE ~ Heat ~ Light ~ Sound and Magnetics
O R ELECTRICS ~ Electromagnetic
R ADIATION from Micro to Gamma !
I\'VE studied and worked in Labs ~ since I was
E LEVEN and will do until I die
S CIENTIFIC RESEARCH HAS CHANGED THE WORLD !

I\'ve never seen a POEM \"In Praise of Laboratories\" so I thought
I had better redress the balance ! They are such awesome places
of wonder and delight and discoveries and I am sure you all have
exciing memories of peering down through Microscopes and also
peering up through Telescopes to bring the very small and the very
distant into Human Focus. All the great discoveries ~ Atomic and
Molecular Structure ~ Radioactivity ~ Drugs ~ Plastics ~ Metals &
Alloys ~ Electromagnetism ~ \"Engines\" ~ Human Anatomy ~ Plant
and Animal Biochemistry ~ Genetics and the structure of DNA and
Experimental Psychology etc etc were all made in LABORATORIES !
Shrines to Science where Nobel Men & Women ~ think GOD\'S
THOUGHTS after Him and discover the Beauty ~ Purpose ~ Order
and Design behind the smooth running of the Universe in general
and Planet Earth in particular. So as a Scientist I try to work hand
in hand with our CREATOR GOD to better understand and preserve
what He has done and not damage or destroy HIS LIVING PLANET !
