Today I rode the motorbike to work and got given the perspective of freedom on two Wheels, forgetting how it felt as I\'ve been driving in a cage on four for a while. To just let go of the handle bars at 50mph and feel the wind in my face, gliding with just my hips and arms open wide to take it all in, singing with every fiber of my being.
Then came the first walk. Following the training line attached to the dog, getting him to understand that when I asked wait there is no choice. \"wait\" I call, standing on the line then slowly walking beside it and if he moves quickly stepping on it.
Now waiting with only a few steps needed on the lead, slowly catching him up as he\'s not allowed to move until I release him and allow him to move. As he looks me straight in the eye, I acknowledge that he can walk on.
The view hits me and we are walking in bliss, the butterflies fly across, two more doing a dance. The crickets talking a beautiful tone, while admiring in the beauty with all these wonderous things around. Then I catch a glimpse out of the corner of my eye. A blackberry that is ripe, glistening in the sun. As I take a bite I realise that everything I need is provided for me. I\'ve just got to have the right perspective to see it, and more to the point how lucky I am to have my job or to just be me?
I\'m slowly reprogramming my brain to try to see from this perspective more as I know it\'s always there, but sometimes it\'s too cloudy to see it all.
