When I was a BOY
And OLD SHEP was a PUP
O\'er the hills and the fields we would stray
Just a BOY and his DOG
We were so full of fun
And we grew up so happy ~ that way !
The years took their toll
And OLD SHEP he grew old
Grey hair and his eyes growing dim
Until one day the VET ~ looked at me and said
HANK ~ I can\'t do no more for him
Now OLD SHEP has gone
Where the Good Doggies go
And no more o\'er the hills will we roam
Now he\'s up in Heaven
Where I\'ll meet him one day
And again we will both share our HOME
