Hypocrisy

How dare you judge another, they say,

How dare you tear them down?

For everyone here has made mistakes.

Who are you to wear this righteous crown?

They preach these words amongst themselves,

Yet fail so plainly to see,

Their need to critique our morals

Drive them deeper into hypocrisy!

This craving I swear, comes from their pride

That flow into their pews with might.

God, how can they truly forgive

If only they are really right?

So instead they come together

To analyze, to judge, and crucify

Those who are guilty of the very things

They have tried so hard to hide.

The unfortunate truth of this message,

The fact we must all come to bear;

Is we\'ll all act to insinuate ourselves

Lest we become more self aware.
