Autumn colours weep
A sodden tear is swept away
Russet leaves jump and leap
But some on the ground just lay.
Red, brown and yellow leaves take over the green
These are the only colours now seen.
The skies are grey; a cloudy expanse
A colour that has no romance.
It rains most Autumn days
The sun shine is pushed away.
Morning frost on grass
On which children play
They laugh and scream
Throughout the day.
The snows don\'t come until Winter
Yet already it is getting colder
Soon the leaves will be gone
Covered by the Winter snows.
