Twisted Webs

Twisted webs they weave

That strangle my beauty

Tightening around and scratching away the image others see

Ripping the facade that clothed me

Now my ugliness is bare

Naked are my mutilations

My aggressors\' eyes burn with white hot hatred

Detesting me for what they see in themselves

My brokenness is disgusting

While their high horse wears my blood

They slaughtered my sense of self and led me to obscurity

In that void I suffocated, it devoured me

They showed me light, not for my liberation

But to feed their own distortion

To degrade me further

They illuminated the monster they created

Then lusted for the blood of the creature I became
