Trouble

When she told me you were trouble,

I couldn’t help but smile.

Little did she know.

Mommies and daddies go out of their way to make sure that their little girls stay innocent and safe,

But there is not much that can be done when the little girls put their hands onto the hot stove over and over again,

Aching for the feeling of the scorched skin.

When I met him, I knew that there was going to be some sort of scorch marks left on my hand from the damage he would cause,

But yet I followed the lion into the den.

Joy rides on the back of a motorcycle,

Not only helmetless, but also limitless.

You gave me a sensation I had never had before.

3rd degree burns, not only on my hands, but on my criminal record.

I wasn’t living a life I wanted until I met you.
