When God set out to create
The genders that comprise our race,
It was a task quite daunting,
For, He knew what He would face.
He had to select the materials
Which would, in the end, be right.
And how He would select
Would determine His delight.
So, He went right to work;
This would be quite a drill.
But, it\'d be worth the effort,
For, He had to test His skill.
And, so He collected what He could;
This would be His first real try.
But, He had to start somewhere
And, His talents, so apply.
From this first attempt, and others, too,
A little boy is what resulted.
Being new to His scheme,
His senses were, somehow, catapulted,
And He decided the product to be good,
Yet, it could, understandably, be better.
He must continue on
Until He got perfection to the letter.
This would explain the difference
Between little girls and little boys.
For, that difference lies in how each is made,
Not in the nature of their toys.
Little boys are made of snakes and snails;
Creepy things that crawl!
And even puppy-dog tails --
Some of the crudest things of all!
For, you see, when God made that first little boy,
He used the grossest things He could collect,
And when He combined them all,
A little boy was the effect.
He, yet, needed one more gender,
And, so, with His next task, He related,
\"I will gather the NICEST things I can find
And see what I\'ve created.\"
And, so, He got together things, refined,
Like sugar, nectar, and many a spice.
He even threw in some rose petals,
And the result was very nice!
Ah! Was His response
When He sat back and reflected.
Now, at last, I\'ve reached perfection
With what I have effected.
It, indeed, takes practice,
And patience, too, before one gets it right.
For, now, I\'ve crafted a gender
Which is, truly, out of sight!
Oh, the male half was inspiring
When I set out to test My skill.
But, with this final product, I\'m in ecstasy,
For, I\'ve reached the apex of My drill.
