In a corner an old man sat
Rags for clothes and tousled hair
He fiddled with his thumbs
His heart no longer had a care
He had given up hope
It was something he no longer recognized
He was all alone in this world
Everything was dark in his poor eyes
In the fog a vision of beauty appeared
Golden hair and full of life
Floating toward him with a smile
It was his long lost loving wife
His is heart felt alive once more
As she took him through their past
And he knew what it was like to feel again
He was with her now at last
She started to fade away
He lost her where did she go
But before he sunk back to dispair
He saw her elegant glow
It was like living life all over again
His memories played out before him
Then she was running ahead calling him forth
Everything around went very dim
He was still there in that corner
Now with eyes closed tight
But a smile rest peacfully upon his lips
Ragged clothes and tousled hair in the pale night
