What is with the snoring down the hall
What is with this headache
I could use a push or two
I can\'t get myself to crawl towards you
Because my embrace
Is not bounteous enough
To gather up my large intestines
So I will scoop them into my top hat
And turn it upside down
To pull out a map to Ethiopia
That is quite far for even a dreamer
But beggars cannot be choosers
So I travel there by a toenail moon
I am the last one alive
I did not want to inherit the earth
I just wanted to become queen
Of a jungle tribe
Here in this boggy marsh
Lay the victims of a controversial era
So I hope you can forgive me
For the mudprints I\'ve tracked in
All over your heart
I only ever wanted
You
To push me while I swing.
But this is okay too.
