The summer\'s heat is fading now,
As we start another day.
Pools and sprinklers have been gathered up,
And have been put away.
Halloween is not far behind,
Watching kids go door to door.
Holding up their goody bag,
For candy, gum and more.
There will be princesses, fairies\' and pirates too,
All gathered for you to see.
With monsters cut and full of scars,
and a blood stain on their knee.
All of the stores have put summer away,
And put Christmas on display.
With decorations everywhere,
And it is yet to be Labor Day.
So merchants hope to decorate
And with a little luck,
They can get Christmas on your mind,
As they battle for your buck.
