Lovely Luna

Whilst I can appreciate there’s commodity of bathing in luxurious beams of sun,

I much prefer the act of a gentle cradling in rings of Moonlight,

Surrounding you like an angelic halo.

I find the sun to scorn you,

Angry,

His gaze burning your skin as you fear his judgement and blaze under the heat of his surveying eyes.

My moon however is soft,

Her face glows, I would happily watch her.

I could look her in the eye and fear not,

For no judgement was passed,

But an insightful sense of guidance.

She was captivating,

She felt nurturing,

I knew that I was safe,

Under her watchful, warming gaze.

I relish to sit down and have tea with her,

Sat down on the terrace,

Reflecting on our days,

Silently, appreciating and assessing the little wonders of our speckled days.

An open listener, a friend for life.
