When I was just a youngster,
I wished that I was old,
So I could do what I wanted,
And not what I was told.
Then as I got older
And school got in the way,
I wished it was the weekend,
And wished the days away.
Then as I aged a bit,
And work would fill my day,
I again wished for the weekend
And wished those days away.
Well now I am finally older,
And I don\'t see things the same.
No wishing days away for me,
I Just enjoy what still remain.
I see with new perspective,
All those days that have past,
And I wish I had them back again,
They went away far too fast.
