WRITING

I have written down the words I’ve thought,

And arranged them on the page.

I have created characters to write about,

And described their looks and age.

I have created lives for them to live.

And words for them to say.

And created choices for them to make,

All while they work and play.

I gave them a heart, not just a brain,

To allow for them to feel.

To make them as human as I could,

In hopes that they’d seem real.

The relationships I have put them in,

Is the most important thing of all.

For just like their human counter parts

To give comfort if they fall.

So after all is said and done.

I tell you of my plight,

The only thing that concerns me now,

Are the pages left to write.
