Ocean Swim

Slicing through water clear and warm

At peace with myself, one with the ocean

Muscles straining, slowly rotating my arm

Heat generated by this perpetual motion

Conscious, rhythmical intake of air

No thought beyond the next move

Leaving everything behind, being where

Nothing counts but staying in the groove

Diving to the bottem where the corals lay

Graceful moves, an underwater dance

Wildly imagining being a Manta Ray

In the oceans limitless expance

Coming up for air, with a breath so deep

Cool sweet air rushing boldly in

Filling the lungs in one big sweep

With droplets of water running down the chin

I switch from breast to a dolphin stroke

Slapping the water with my feet

A happy dolphin I want to evoke

Thinking of its beauty with every beat

Turning on my back I slow and relax

Looking up into a sky so endless and blue

With a lonely airplane painting its track

A soothing picture and incredible view

The ocean holds me like my mothers womb

My worries drowning one by one

Slowly disappearing into depth and gloom

Freeing my mind, so all I see now is the sun
