The Circus
The circus had come to town
A three-ringed curious event
The applause of the little crowd
faint around the tent
The high wire acts with their ladies
Curvaceous way up there
Back and forth with their swinging
dangerous in midair
The lions and tigers were also featured
And roared way out loud
Showing all their teeth and claws
And whipped there all about
The clowns working for their applause
With their painted faces
Many children scared of them
And the adults hesitating
Come one come all the final call
To the greatest show on Earth
With the trainers hard and mean
Soon gone and out of work
