The time of year is almost here,
When youngsters hit the street.
Traveling quickly door to door,
In hopes they\'ll get a treat.
Ghost and goblins are everywhere,
And can be seen in every place.
But behind the costumed fantasy,
Is a sweet and innocent face.
It is a time that is quite unique,
And we are uncertain of what\'s in store,
It is the only time we aren\'t afraid,
Of monsters at the door.
When the night is over and kids are home,
Their treats may seem so small,
But we know there is enough sugar,
They\'ll be bouncing off the wall.
When Halloween has faded to memory,
And we see the light of day,
We can take some comfort now,
Thanksgiving is on its way.
