I started off sharing on a poetry site
Now I\'m here on a open mic night.
It\'s something my mind had played many times
Never thinking that it could happen over night
From getting a message in the afternoon offering me this
I had six hours to try and deal with a three way battle
The heart ran straight to the brain.. Wait! Are you insane?
The brain just said, yes! now what are you going to do?
I didn\'t last long, drifting away from this merry-go-round
Suddenly it was silent, no sound but a knowing.
From that moment I knew what I had to do
Embrace this as you have nothing to lose
For life is for living not drowning in sorrow
So I\'m going for this like there\'s no tomorrow.
