Nature\'s Crime

I don\'t know what to say
I\'m just writing lines
So I can play a game so fine;
Display some mindful rhymes today

Disdain won\'t keep at bay what\'s mine
When I\'m at play with nature\'s crime
Of consciousness bestowed on me
It\'s owed that I\'ll soon feel fine

But never mind the time til then
It\'s when I\'ve cried that I have been
A sinner in the midst of fines
Administered by Him

Don\'t get confused
I don\'t amuse
Ideas of a higher being
Of will and want of finer things
That life\'s obliged to bring, to choose

And still it haunts my nightly fling
With mighty vices tightly stringed
Around my fingers, hence bemused
With making devils sing
