SULLY

(c) 2017 Edward York

I want to tell you a story,

One that\'s widely known,

About a man we knew as \"Sully\",

And the Airbus that he\'d flown.

When flight 1549 began its journey,

Everything was looking bright.

He didn\'t know he\'d be in the Hudson,

Before he finished with his flight.

He called on his experience,

With emotions held at bay.

Decisions he made quickly,

With no time to even pray.

No one could have imagined,

When everything had began so well;

That a bird strike could kill two engines,

And put them all through hell.

Brace for impact heard on the speaker,

As the plane took its famous dive.

No one could imagine in the Hudson,

They\'d all be still alive.
